-ask the members in your office to bring one small dish, desert, platter, beverage, or snack. Sometimes the holiday preparations bring us stress as we feel there is so much to do, and so little time. A little encouragement makes everyone's day so why don't we spread the simplest of all gifts and give compliments. (Article Continues Below)
-Put the names of all the members of your office into a draw. Each week in December have everyone draw a name. The next day they are to post the compliment with the name of their coworker in the staffroom. Sometimes it is also fun to acknowledge your boss for the leadership they have for the employees. Have your coworkers post compliments about your boss on his or her door. 3) Do Something Nice for Someone Else Gifts are nice, but finding ways to actually "do" something nice for someone else is much more thoughtful. Take time this month to think of someone in your office that you aren't the closest with. -Whether that's buying lunch for your coworker, bringing your boss a morning coffee, or tidying up the staff room. 4) Decorate the Office The month of December is busy for all of us! All the things to do, and of course all the expenses start to add up. It is understandable that one person alone cannot decorate the office to give it that holiday cheer. - Have everyone in the office bring a few decorations to help brighten up the office. It will be fun to have everyone involved. If you are looking for a fun idea, decorate your bosses desk, or office door. 5) Cocktails at the Office Everyone enjoys a Cocktail party! Going out to the local longue can become costly. Why not have just as much fun at the office. Have cocktail parties on Friday after work at the office. Have everyone bring a cocktails, acohol, and drink mixes. -Plan an evening out with you and your coworkers on Friday after work and start right at the office. You will cut the costs of paying the high price for every drink. Another idea is to plan an evening out with you and your coworkers, but meet first at the office for appetizers and drinks, and continue the meal outside. That way everyone has time to show up, and you arrive at the restaurant together. 6) Holiday Dress Up Red and Green are the traditonal holiday colours. Set aside one day a week that everyone wears red and green, or holiday themed clothing. Encourage everyone to participate. - Have a prize for the holiday attire every week. Take pictures and post at the office.
