Be Inspired Like Avril Lavigne and Make Your Dreams Come True
By: Chad Montgomery
Every music artist has their own reasons for getting into music. It seems lately that more and more people are getting into music just for the hopes of getting signed to a big record label and having more money than they know what to do with. I am not one to say that musicians don't deserve compensation for their time but I think that shows like American Idol and Cribs have skewed peoples vision of what music is really about, music is an art, and when people pursue it as such that is when truly great music is made.Part of the reason Avril Lavigne's music is so great is the fact that she isn't in it just for the money. In a recent interview she was asked if her goal was getting a record deal when she got into music she answered that she has been singing and performing since she was two. All through life she enjoyed performing because she loved the music, and because she loved the music then the record deals came. When Avril Lavinge was asked about people that inspired and influenced her music style she said that she really created her style on her own and that she didn't really listen to other people's music until after grade school. She says that she got a lot of her inspiration and experience from singing in the church choir. If that think that is a strange inspiration for her music keep in mind that she also liked to listen to faith hill and the Dixie chicks. Now though, she has begun supporting her own genre by listening to more punk and rock. Listening to music and picking up her dads guitar and putting her lines to music as she slowly taught herself to play the guitar was how her music came to where it is today, that was the birth of Avril Lavigne Lyrics.
